Hereford cluster?

My interest (some might say obsession) with monkey puzzle trees has been, I am delighted to say, picked up by Jeff in Hereford. Jeff is originally from Liverpool and has been following my blog from the beginning, and he regularly sends me photos of monkey puzzle trees – yes, the beauty of the connections we make on the internet! Jeff is also now the proud owner of his very own monkey puzzle tree.

During March Jeff has sent me three photos of monkeys around Bartestree where he lives. They are all fairly small, so it’s nice to see a new generation of monkey puzzle trees being grown in Herefordshire.

It might be a bit too soon to say whether or not this is a cluster… but Jeff has spotted two trees on the A438, and another youngster over in Dilwyn.

It’s a funny thing, because once you start noticing them, you keep seeing them. I have just today spotted another one on Queens Drive – it’s a road I must have driven down thousands of times, and I hadn’t noticed it before.

So, thanks to Jeff for the monkey spotting!
