Monkey eyes

I have two monkeys found today in places where I must have driven past hundreds – or more – times. And, as I wasn’t on official monkey hunting duty, I didn’t have my camera with me, but fortunately Ronnie did and has taken these lovely photographs for the catalogue.

Both monkeys are on the Wirral. First – in Thornton Hough, a lovely village which we only ever drive through and how did we miss this!

Yes, it’s a monster, and looking particularly fine today with the blue sky.

After we’ve been to Parkgate (for ice cream, natch), passing CH17 which was reported here, we drive on to West Kirby to see the high tide, passing through Heswall along Telegraph Road, passing this:

Yes, another monster! How come I’ve never noticed this? It’s just before the fire station, before the junction of Milner Lane.

As Ronnie got back in the car he said, ‘Well it’s for sale if you fancy it?’

So – two lovely monkeys – which just goes to show that using your ‘monkey eyes’ reveals more than your usual eyes!

So keep your eyes peeled! And here’s the CH map for Wirral south.
